Robert Downey Jr. & Jay Chou + Tom Cruise

Tropic Thunder. Ok movie, sometimes silly gags. Stop. Robert Downey Jr. Wow!! Haha! RDJ was hot and so good! I can't stop gushing over RDJ after the Ironman movie. Before I caught him in Ironman, all I knew of RDJ was a celebrity who was plagued with all sorts of social problems (not exactly news anyway..). When I caught his performance in Ironman, he blew me away! Ok ok... I'm no Oscar-worthy critic or some smart aleck. But hey, I enjoyed his acting and the show! (I confess, the gadgets got me more... but then again..)


And so, when Tropic Thunder came out, I knew I had to catch it. Yes, it is a Ben Stiller movie, but it has RDJ and Jack Black in it! Jack wasn't that outstanding, his character was just too hooked on heroine. I wished he had a juicier character though. And boy could RDJ make me laugh! He pulled every joke with a straight face! Sigh...


But I have to admit. The best wasn't him. It was TOM CRUISE!!!! I couldn't recognize him at first, but then I remembered the newspaper review said that Cruise was this fat, balding, hairy guy and when he appeared, DANG!!! Personally, I think this is his best act EVER! Beats Top Gun, Vanilla Sky, and all the MI movies any time! Personally, this is Oscar-worthy. (ROFL...) Anyway, I think he'll get a nickelodeon award for best baddie or something.


And Jay Chou has scored again! Dang, his songs are good! The lyrics? So lovely. The music, gorgeous. The poster. HOT!! Unfortunately, I couldn't lay my hands on this album with that cover. They only have the fantasy-yellowy-brownish-warrior one, and that is so not special! Oh well.. Jay rules for now.
