Rainy days

I love rainy days!! Absolutely adore them! And I have no idea why. People always say that sunny days are the best, where the sun is merry and the birds are singing. I beg to differ. I prefer rainy days. I would love to go out on rainy days in fact! The weather is cool, and the air is crisp and fresh (even if you're stuck behind an old bus...). I love the pitter-patter of raindrops, the thunder whenever it makes an appearance, beautiful lightning streaks (though it is quite scary at times), the sight of people huddled under umbrellas, and of course the colour green.

Green? I think the leaves and grasses seem much greener after a shower. Colours seem more alive and everything is just fresher.... Maybe I need my eyes checked, but haven't you noticed it? And yes, it has been raining today, and dear ol' Joyce is happy:) It's cool and pleasant now and I would love to go out and enjoy the night, but looks like everyone is busy..

Anyway, I spent my day watching serial dramas and had a nap. Come to think of it, I have not enjoyed a nap in ages! No assignments to do, not working for 2 days, ahhhhhh... That's life. Haha, I sound so old... Anyhow, it was a nice day, thanks to the rain and the internet. Caught up with my blog and journal, finally checked my e-mail, posted some stuff up, fed my pet, read the news, getting bored with politics, watching obama, thinking of greg house (I haven't seen him in ages!), and looking forward to work afternoon shift again!

Well, looks like everything's in place. I'm contented, work's fun again. Oh oh oh! I forgot! I had a bowl of laksa sarawak yesterday, and it was delicious! Meg got the paste for the soup and she whipped up this huge pot of laksa soup! It is not the same as the penang laksa. Not so "ingredient-ny", but sumptious all the same. Should have taken a picture of it. Mmmm..
